Day 9 – If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
What a question! If I could have any job in the world, what would it be???? What would my dream job be? Wow. There are so many things I would be if I could … or if I had the chance. How can you pick just one? I’m sure there are some people who could. They know the one thing they have to do with their lives. The one job that makes them feel “complete”. For me, I want to do more than one job for my career.
Like I just said, there are a few jobs I would do if I could. Let me make a list …
Kristin’s Dream Jobs …
Dream Job #1 … Successful Blogger
Right now, if I could be anything it would be a successful blogger. As I have defined in the past, a successful blogger would be a blogger that makes money from blogging. One who can write their blog and make money from doing that. I would love to do this crazy awesome blogging thing and make money from it. It would be even better if I could make enough money that my husband could cut back at his job. If he could spend more time with us, it would be amazing.
I would love to be able to write and connect with readers, give them my advice, suggest products, and make money for doing that. It would be a dream come true. Being a successful blogger is a passion of mine. To do this and show my husband that this adventure is worth something, that would be wonderful.
Dream Job #2 … Disney Vacation Planner
When it comes time to make our family Disney vacations, I love every aspect of it. Planning our trip. Where will we stay? What parks will we visit on what day? Are there any events happening while we’re there? Where are we going to eat? What dining plan should we get? How tall is Emily so I can plan our fast passes?
With all of the excitement that I feel booking our own vacations, I always knew that I wanted to become a Disney travel agent. I looked into it a little more and found a great company to work for … Let It Go Journeys. In September of 2018, I started on the road to becoming a Disney Vacation Planner. I went through the College of Disney Knowledge program and now I’m officially a Disney Vacation Planner. [I’m on Facebook and Instagram if you want to contact me about booking a Disney vacation.] Now, not only can I book trips for my own family but I can book amazing adventures for friends and family as well.
Dream Job #3 … Romance Novelist
What most people don’t know about me is that I’m an AVID romance reader. I love a great story with characters that you just fall in love with. And then in the end, the couple is together. What could be better?
I’ve been enthralled in the worlds of Nora Roberts and Lisa Kleypas for years. Their stories engulf me until I forget everything else. I’ll lose hours at a time to those stories. I thought to myself one day … what if I did that? Could I make other people feel like I do when they read a good romance novel? Maybe.
After some time, I had comprised a long list of story ideas. I have brief story ideas written down for three different trilogies and a series. Going over them, I picked my favorite. The first installment in the series. And I started writing.
My first novel is nowhere near done, but it’s a work in progress. Maybe one day I’ll actually finish it and try to publish it. We’ll see. For now, I’m having fun creating characters that hopefully an audience will one day fall in love with.
To sum it all up …
In the end, I’d love to be a blogger, Disney Vacation Planner, and a romance novelist. I’m working on making all of these dreams come true. If I can make it happen, I’d be a VERY happy woman. For now, I’ll just keep working on it. As the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Neither will my empire.
Until the day my empire is built, I’m more than thrilled that I get the opportunity to work on it. I’m lucky to have the support and time that some may not get to do what they really want to do. And while I work on it, I’m happy to be doing another dream job of mine. It’s one that I know some might not be able to ever have … so I never take for granted how lucky I am to do this job. That job is being a …
