They say that you should always find time to date your spouse. One way to make sure your marriage doesn’t go flat is to keep dating each other. Send your spouse flowers. Do little things that will make them smile. Like when you were dating. And have date nights. My husband and I are lucky enough to get a date night every other week. This past date night we got even luckier. We had dinner at the wonderful 111 Chop House in Worcester, MA.
Side note: This is not the first time that we’ve been to the Chop House. We’ve been there for birthday celebrations in the past, but never for a date night.
The 111 Chop House is a “classic steak house with a modern vibe”. As a part of the Worcester Restaurant Group, 111 Chop House is easily one of the best restaurants in Worcester. And it isn’t just a “Worcester” restaurant, 111 Chop House easily compares to some of the best steakhouses in New York, Kansas City, and Las Vegas. You name it and The Chop House With an extensive menu, there is so much to choose from. Any palette can be pleased.
So what did we have for dinner????
We had a full three course meal; appetizer, entree, and dessert. We also each had an adult beverage as well. Let’s take a look at what we had.
Appetizing Appetizers!
With so many appetizers to choose from, we decided to split one. We wanted to save room for our amazing entrees. We decided to get the Lobster Firecracker Roll. It combines my husband’s loves of sushi with my love of lobster. How can you go wrong??? In this roll there is lobster (obviously cooked), avocado, fried sweet potato, and spicy mayonnaise. It is served “inside out” with sesame seeds. I loved it. I could have eaten more, but again … saving room for my entree.
Exceptional Entrees!
One of my all time FAVORITE meals is Filet Oscar. A usual Filet Oscar is a filet mignon steak topped with crab meat, asparagus, and Bearnaise sauce. The 111 Chop House put a different spin on it. They exchanged the crab meat for lobster meat. And oh man was that an amazing spin. I loved it!!! I would get this every single day of my life, if I could. It also came with some of the most delicious mashed Yukon gold potatoes that I have ever tasted. You should go get this before it is off the menu.
Delectable Desserts!
And then there was dessert. The 111 Chop House has some of the best desserts that I have ever had. I usually want the Chocolate “Porterhouse”, but since Will and I were splitting something I thought that I would get something different. Well, turns out that we were still going to get something chocolaty and decadent. We got the delicious Molten Chocolate Cake. A warm chocolate cake with a liquid-y center, accompanied by vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and a chocolate drizzle. It was the perfect ending to our date night meal.
How about an adult beverage?
If you know me, you know that I’m not much of a drinker. I will usually have one adult beverage when Will and I go out for a date night, and maybe at a gathering. But that’s it. So on a fancy date night, I wanted to see what their adult beverages had in store. And boy was I happy I decided to partake. Fall is my favorite time of year for adult beverages. This is because a lot of places will use apple flavors, and that’s my favorite. So it’s not hard to see why I got the Caramel Apple Spirits. It contains Eden Iced Cider, Smirnoff Caramel Vodka, Soda and Prosecco. It’s garnished with a cherry. I sipped it throughout the night. It was delicious. I would definitely get it again.
Final Thoughts
I absolutely loved my fancy date night meal at 111 Chop House. I would go back there any day of the week. Now I will say that 111 Chop House is on the pricier side. If you look at TripAdvisor’s 111 Chop House page, it says that it is “$$$$”. So I am sure you can tell that it is expensive. But, you are getting amazing food and quality at 111 Chop House. It is DEFINITELY worth it. The people over at Worcester Restaurant Group are definitely doing something right. I will be back to 111 Chop House as soon as I can.
