Dance Showcase Day! . This year there was no recit

Dance Showcase Day!

This year there was no recital, but Em’s fantastic dance studio did a virtual online showcase.
.
Em was able to (finally) dress up in her costumes. She couldn’t wait. They have been sitting in her closet since the beginning of the year. (Now she gets to play with them whenever she wants!)
.
Being at home with just us, Em was much more nervous to do the dances in front of us. So no videos. I asked why she was nervous. “My friends aren’t here to dance with me.”
.
I’m sorry, my girl. Next year, you and your friends will be dancing on the big stage together. I promise.

I’m so proud of you, Em!!!

Thanks to CDDS for being amazing to the dancers always ... and especially during the pandemic. The virtual classes were awesome and still kept Em in her dance routine. Thank you all so much.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there. Especially the ones in my life. My amazing father who I miss every day, and my wonderful husband who Emily and I are so lucky to have. Emily and I love you both so much.

We had a great time picking strawberries at Grammy’s house yesterday. Most of the berries were so little, but they were brilliantly red.

Emily had so much fun ... picking and eating her favorite fruit. She can’t wait to go back for more.
